Dear Fitness Vibe Members,

It is with great sadness that I closed the doors to Fitness Vibe.  This decision has weighed on my spirit for quite some time.  I didn’t intend to close the doors so abruptly. However, the financial obligations that required Fitness Vibe to stay open were enormous.  I invested all I had in the development and day-to-day expenses that allowed Fitness Vibe to remain open.  Members like you have assisted as well.  My desire to open Fitness Vibe in Dorchester’s Blue Hill Ave area was one with passion, understanding and commitment.  I have dedicated the last nineteen years of my life to the health and well-being of people both in and out of our community.  Despite my sadness, I know there were so many positives; Fitness Vibe opened up jobs, brought a positive venue, and educated and motivated members of the community.  My intention was to make Fitness Vibe permanent on Blue Hill Ave.  Despite its closure many people will hear the beats of the music, the sounds of the weights dropping and the laughter that emerged when the doors opened.

In closing, both the staff and I are honored to have worked with you.  You are the reason I opened Fitness Vibe.  Please continue on our journey to total wellness.  I am in the process of contacting local fitness centers to ask if they can offer you something.   In addition I’ve contacted the bank to stop all Fitness Vibe drafts.  The Aqua classes will still remain on the schedule and if you are interested stop by the pool Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings @ 6:30pm to sign up and join us as we continue to improve our health.

Thank you Blue Hill Ave. and all the members that have supported Fitness Vibe’s mission.  This is not a goodbye, but a closure to a dream deferred and the beginning of a new road for all of us.

Healthfully Yours,
Christine Holmes
